Black History Month Celebration: A Conversation with Rev. Dr. Irwyn Ince

Rev. Dr. Irwyn Ince will present a talk about race, justice, and theology followed by an interactive conversation with the audience and a dessert reception. Dr. Ince currently serves as Coordinator of Mission to North America. He is the first Black person to serve in this role. He also serves as adjunct professor of pastoral theology at Reformed Theological Seminary. He served as Executive Director of the Institute for Cross-Cultural Mission in Grace DC in Washington, D.C. In 2018 he was unanimously elected as the first Black Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America. Please RSVP here.


He is the author of Hope Ain’t A Hustle: Persevering by Faith in a Wearying World (2024) and The Beautiful Community: Unity, Diversity, and the Church at Its Best (2020). He has contributed to the books Heal Us Emmanuel: A Call for Racial Reconciliation, Representation, and Unity in the Church, and All Are Welcome: Toward a Multi-Everything Church.
