Be a part of helping to run a first-ever carnival for kids and families at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary in West Oakland. We will have a DJ, games, food, and more!  There are lots of opportunities to get involved with carnival games, concessions and more!  

Resurrection Oakland is partnering with several organizations for this event, including Alameda County Community Food Bank, Eat Learn Play, Community Kitchens, Oakland Literacy Coalition, Chick-Fil-A Emeryville, Rico Rico Taco, Street Soccer Oakland, Paws-to-Share and MOCHA.

The question of whether the resurrection actually happened demands the attention of both Christians and skeptics alike. Whether it has been years since you’ve been to church, or you’ve never been, we would love for you to join us this Easter. Our very special service will include worship, a choir, and brunch pastries.

FREE professional portraits of kids from 8:45-9:15am at the first service and 11:30am-12:15pm at the second. All our ResKids classes (Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary) will be available at BOTH 9am and 11am services!

Parking available in the Franklin Plaza Garage for both services for $5.

SERVE Community Kitchens

Community Kitchens (CK) brings restaurants, community organizations and volunteers together to help feed those in need in Oakland. Founded in 2020, CK provides over 10,000 meals per month through the CK Mobile Oasis outreach bus, town fridges, and community partners. In the Oakland neighborhoods CK serves, over half the people are going to bed hungry at night. CK's mission is to build sustainable, equitable and community-centric foodways driven by the voice of the people to support the underserved in our community. Join us for an afternoon in the CK Kitchen with Chef Kendall to help with food prep, sandwich making and meal packaging. Meals prepared will be delivered in the CK Mobile Oasis outreach bus to Oakland encampments and youth programs. Space is limited. Age 10+.

SERVE Turning Point: Easter Lunch

Help prepare and serve a Easter lunch to the women and children living at CityTeam's Turning Point home in Oakland.  Turning Point is a transitional housing program for women and children in crisis, providing a bridge to independent living.  There are currently 16 women and 8 children who live in the home.  There will be opportunities to play with the kids and help them make a spring craft!  

Space is limited to 10 volunteers.  Age 10+. Youth ages 10-14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Register here.

SERVE Event: CityTeam

Join us at CityTeam Oakland for their S.O.S (Serving on Saturdays)! There will be opportunities for volunteers to help with sorting and organizing clothing donations, preparing hygiene kits for the unhoused community and working in their new kitchen. Space is limited to 15 volunteers. Age 10+. Youth ages 10-14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Register here.
