For our second annual ResYouth Spring Retreat, we are going to Dream Mountain Christian Camp in Murphys, CA! We hope your students won’t miss this weekend of bonding over home cooked meals, games, late night snacks, singing, teaching, and small group time.

Our theme is Children of God, which comes from our theme verse, 1 John 3:1a:
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"
We will have the whole campsite to ourselves. Boys and girls will have separated lodging and restrooms. Here is a link to the camp’s facilities information.

Our speaker is John Kong. You’ve probably seen him around at church. He is the RUF campus minister at UC Berkeley.

Drop off: 4pm May 31st at Resurrection Oakland

Pick up: 5pm June 2nd at Resurrection Oakland

Registration fee: $100
Please register by April 28th, 2024. Register here.

* No student should miss this trip for financial reasons. If you are unable to pay the entire registration fee, please reach out to Ben at ben@resoakland.com to pay a different amount or receive a scholarship.

Advent Wreath Workshop

Families, join us at the church to make advent wreaths together as we kick off the Advent season. We will have Christmas cookies, hot cocoa, and giveaways too!  $10 registration fee per family will cover the cost of the supplies.  Space is limited to 30 families.  Register here (please register just one person per family)

What is an advent wreath?
An Advent wreath provides a way to mark the four weeks of Advent leading up to the birth of Jesus.  It is made up of four candles.  One candle is lit each Sunday in Advent, which begins on December 3rd this year.  The wreath shows the Bible's theme of light penetrating the darkness, a wonderful picture of the gospel.
